It is still hard to digest the fact for every Indian around the globe that team India has been knocked out from the race of ICC World Cup 2019regardless of playing brilliantly throughout the series. Team India lost to New Zealand by 18 runs after restricting them to 239/8 in the rain-hit semifinal played over two days. But a bad day ruined all our hopes to bring the cup home!
Indian batsmen were left spellbound because of Matt Henry’s brilliant opening spell as he changed the game with 3\37 runs. Ravindra Jadejaand Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s partnership of 116 runs helped team India to get back to the game. Jadeja scored 77 runs and MS Dhoni scored 50 before he was caught short of crease by a brilliant direct hit by Martin Guptill.
Indian captain Virat Kohli was questioned during the presentation ceremony about the moment in which India lost four top-order batsmen within 10 overs including Rohit Sharma and Kohli. The skipper responded to which by saying, forty-five minutes of bad cricket knocks you out of the tournament. Difficult to take it but New Zealand deserve it. Our shot selection could have been better, but we played good cricket throughout. New Zealand was braver in crunch situations and they deserve it.
Kohli further added, we got what we needed in the field. We knew we had a good day yesterday, we felt like we had the moment, but credit has to go to NZ bowlers for the swing and help they got from the surface.

King Kohli praised Jadeja for changing the game, he said, Jaddu had an exceptional couple of games. He walked with so much clarity. MS had a good partnership with him. It was a game of edges and MS was run-out.
